ROME TO OSLO: BIKE TOUR
Thomás Longberg has completed a mammoth bicycle tour from Rome, Italy to Oslo, Norway, a 1,880 mile long journey in just 21 days. Landing in Rome on Sep. 6th with his brother’s wedding in Oslo as his deadline on September 30th, Longberg completed the 1,880 mile journey solo and unsupported i.e carrying all of his own gear with NO support van following him.
Dawgpatch members Drew Harvey, Payton Dwight and Jimmy Beh met Thomás, a Norwegian native, on the logging roads of Montana back in 2021 while the crew was bicycling across the United States for the second time, and Longberg was riding from Seattle, Washington to Glacier National Park. Since then the gang of bandit cyclists have stayed in touch with their shared interest of scouting and completing large multi-day bike routes. Unable to make the Lisbon to Black Sea: Mental Health Tour completed this spring due to scheduling conflicts, Longberg has flawlessly followed up with his own dagger of a line across continental Europe to add to this year’s Point to Point Challenge of the Year event.
After the trip Longberg noted, “Rome to Oslo is as straight a line as I could make. It’s been a wild and wonderful ride, a real adventure.”
