Point to Point: Bay Point (Short Beach) to Jessups Neck (North Point)

Distance = 3 miles (2.68 n.miles)

Mode of Travel: SWIM

Swimmers: Mike Mata, Eric Dantes, Sean Crowley, Drew Harvey, Spencer Schneider, Nico McMahon, Jeremy Grosvenor.

Level of Support: Single guide boat (21’) with Captain (Jennifer Ferry), Lifeguard (Chuck Partellow) and Spotter (Dawn Harvey).

Trip Report: This swim marks the 3rd crossing of Noyac Bay by a Dawgpatch Swim Crew, and the 6th Point to Point Challenge of the 2023 season. This Noyac Bay crossing was unique in that it was the first to finish (instead of start) at the secluded point of Jessups Neck. This swim was began specifically from Bay Point, a start point that provides a clean and formal 3 mile shot to Jessups Neck across the thick of Noyac Bay.

Day of Conditions: 3 mph winds, slack tide, minimal current, no boats. All 7 swimmers completed this swim in under 2 hours.
