Shelter Island Swim

South to North

Dawgpatch Bandits ‘East’ crew set out and completed an unassisted swim from Sag Harbor, NY to Shelter Island, NY. Beginning by jumping off of long wharf in Sag Harbor at 6 a.m. the crew of seven swam just over 3.5 miles to reach the South Ferry landing on Shelter Island in just 2 hours. Swimmers included surf instructor Nico McMahon, Rob and Town of Southampton lifeguards Kyle Sturmann, Ryan Duryea, Skyler Loesch, Ryan Taras, and Drew Harvey.
