On 07/31/23 Jeremy Grosvener, Carol Choi, Drew Harvey and Luca paddled a Kahiki OC4 from the north side of Orient Point, around Plumb Island, across Block Island Sound to Montauk Inlet.

Levels of Support: Canoe truck transport to Orient Point the morning of the paddle. Unsupported on the water. Left canoe at Montauk Inlet Marina. Car transport for paddlers from Montauk back to staging area.

Trip Report:
Load canoe on truck the night before the paddle. Rendez-vous with team at Long Beach in Sag Harbor the morning of the paddle. Drive truck w/canoe to Orient Point with an extra driver. Rig and launch canoe from north side of Orient Point. Paddle across Plumb Gut, wrap around the North side of Plumb Island to Plumb Island’s East Pt., cross the Block Island Sound from Plumb Island’s East Pt. to Montauk Inlet., make landfall at Inlet Seafood’s marina area. Beach and leave rigged canoe in small dune at marina. Car transport for paddlers back to Sag Harbor staging area.
