Barcelona Connection: Swim

North Haven Point to Barcelona Point

September 26, 2020

Spencer Schneider, Jeremy Grosvener and Elke Hoffman meandered their way from North Haven Point to Barcelona point via the only way we know how….to swim it. Beginning from where the Bandits had finished the Noyac Bay swim just one week before, the three took on the 4.7 miles of water between them and Barcelona Point, swimming across the Shelter Island Sound, the South Ferry crossing and Sag Harbor Bay. For Schneider, this swim completes the missing link that finishes a greater series of swims that continuously links all the major bays on the east of Long Island, from Red Cedar Point in eastern Great Peconic Bay to Gardiners Island, covering over 32 miles of open water swimming.
