Fitness Station #9 was completed on May 12, 2023 at the Phoenix House’s Hauppauge, NY location. We are very exited to have the opportunity to continue to work with Phoenix House in New York, which have helped thousands of New Yorkers overcome substance abuse since 1967.

Phoenix House Hauppauge Center provides residential substance use disorder treatment services for men using an evidence-based approach to drug and alcohol addiction treatment and a strength-based, holistic view of recovery. Our team consists of highly skilled clinicians who provide assessment, individual and group counseling, treatment of co-occurring mental health problems, case management, and discharge planning. Our staff promotes personal responsibility and accountability while conveying empathy and recognizing each client’s potential. This supportive environment teaches responsibility while confronting the underlying causes of substance use.

This Fitness Station was built in the midst of a 3,500 mile bicycle ride from Lisbon to the Black Sea completed by Payton Dwight, who was joined by Drew Harvey for the first 1,500 miles of the journey, to help raise money for future Fitness Stations. Dawgpatch Bandits Inc.’s primary objective is to continue to bring more outdoor fitness resources to facilities like the Phoenix House, and promote fitness as a positive outlet for those in substance abuse and mental health recovery.
