Avize to Mt. Ventoux, France: Bike

North to South

Paul Zaykowski has laid down an epic bicycle tour from Avize, France to Mt. Ventoux, France. This North to South tour covered a total of 542 miles and 25,956 ft of climbing over the course of 8 days. Traveling with 9 other riders, the team of 10 completed this route as a pack and only separated on hills during steep climbs.

This heavily mountainous route was completed from June 10th to June 17th in a traditional style with a van support team. Although, unlike traditional cycle tours in Europe designed around sight seeing, this ride was completed in a true point to point fashion that included some of the toughest climbs France has to offer, and finished on the iconic Mt. Ventoux. This route marks the first challenge logged for Dawgpatch Bandits completed in mainland Europe and the eighth submission for the 2022 Challenge Line of the Year.
